Initially brought on to design an “ocean sunset” mural, our project with Dhruv and Mo owners of a budding Indian fusion restaurant quickly evolved into a full-scale branding and mural initiative. After our first conversation, we saw an opportunity to make a lasting first impression. We pitched a holistic approach: logo design, marketing materials, a bold mural (which led to three more), and elegant interior floral installations. A deal was struck, and we got to work immediately.

With only an outsider’s perspective, we sat down with the Dhamaal team to better understand Indian culture and what Dhamaal truly meant to them helping us refine the aesthetic. With fresh insights but limited time, Tim jumped straight into branding, knowing it would set the tone for everything else. After a few rounds of iteration, the logo landed exactly where it needed to be fun, wild, and free, embodying the spirit of “Dhamaal.”

Next came the mural, where we explored patterns, symbols, and characters representing both youth and tradition. The central character hit the mark and became the restaurant’s official mascot formally named Dhamaal Singh. With the mural application underway, we brought in our incredibly talented friend and collaborator, Cid Mendez, to design and install the floral motif.
